FSU film school student filmed with gun

A Florida high school student has been caught on camera with a gun, while a teacher was filming the incident.FSU film student Michael Smith told the Orlando Sentinel that he had a friend bring him a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol that he was using for self-defense.

Smith said he used the gun because he thought someone was following him and he wanted to protect himself.

Smith said he told his friend not to shoot.

Smith was at FSU’s Film and Television School for his final semester before transferring to Florida International University.

He said he shot at someone who approached him, and that person was arrested.

Smith was arrested in January.

Foster police said the student who recorded the video was also charged with battery and resisting arrest.

The school’s director of external relations, Stephanie Cone, said the university was aware of the incident and the video, but did not want to go into further details.

Cone said the school was conducting an internal investigation and would not discuss any further details until the investigation is complete.
